General Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 29, 2026

1. Scope and Contracting Party

(1) These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed by consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) through the “Wallet Chains” online store.

(2) The contracting party is:

Germany

2. Products and Product Descriptions

(1) The products offered include, in particular, wallet chains, pants chains, key chains, key rings and other accessories made of silver, stainless steel, brass, leather and other materials.

(2) Most items are made after the order has been placed. Standard items are usually ready to ship within 1–3 business days unless a different production time is stated on the respective product page.

(3) Production times may differ for custom-made or personalized items, including individually agreed custom lengths, engravings, modifications or specially configured designs. The estimated production time will be stated on the product page or communicated as part of the individual agreement.

(4) Minor variations in texture, surface, color, patina or craftsmanship may result from the materials used and the handmade production process. Such material-related and handcrafted variations do not constitute a defect, provided that the agreed characteristics and functionality of the item are not impaired.

3. Conclusion of the Contract

(1) The presentation of products in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer but an invitation to place an order.

(2) By clicking the final order button at checkout, you submit a binding offer to purchase the items contained in your shopping cart.

(3) An automatically generated order or receipt confirmation initially confirms only that your order has been received. It does not constitute acceptance of your offer unless expressly stated otherwise.

(4) The purchase contract is concluded when I expressly accept your order, send you a corresponding order confirmation or dispatch the ordered goods.

4. Prices and Shipping Costs

(1) The prices displayed in the online store are total prices. Where legally applicable, they include statutory value-added tax. Depending on the selected destination and local currency, prices may be converted and displayed in a different currency.

(2) Shipping costs may be charged in addition to the price of the goods. The shipping methods available for the respective destination and the final shipping costs will be displayed at checkout before the order is completed.

(3) The following shipping charges currently apply:

(4) Express shipping remains chargeable even when the applicable minimum order value for free standard shipping has been reached.

(5) The shipping methods and shipping costs displayed at checkout for the selected destination are decisive.

(6) Deliveries to countries outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and handling fees charged by the shipping carrier or customs authorities. These charges are payable by the recipient and are not included in the purchase price or the displayed shipping costs.

This does not apply if the checkout or order confirmation expressly states that import duties and taxes are already included, for example when a shipping method is marked as DDP.

5. Production, Delivery and Shipping

(1) The production or processing time for standard items is usually 1–3 business days. Different production times for personalized or custom-made items will be stated on the product page or communicated as part of the individual agreement.

(2) The delivery times stated below begin only after the item has been completed and dispatched.

(3) Shipping within Germany is usually carried out via DHL. International shipping is carried out via DHL, DHL Express or UPS, depending on the destination and the selected shipping method.

(4) Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

European Union

Other available countries and regions

  • Standard shipping: 5–14 business days

  • Express shipping: 3–7 business days

(5) The stated delivery times are non-binding estimates. Delays may be caused by customs clearance, public holidays, strikes, force majeure, the shipping carrier or other events beyond my control. Your statutory rights in the event of delivery delays remain unaffected.

(6) Delivery is available only to the countries and regions displayed as available in the country selector and at checkout.

(7) All shipments are insured and include tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email containing the tracking number.

6. Payment Terms

(1) The payment methods currently available will be displayed at checkout before the order is completed.

(2) The purchase price is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract unless different terms are stated for the selected payment method.

(3) When an external payment service provider is used, that provider’s additional terms and payment conditions may apply.

(4) Processing and dispatch of the order may be made subject to full receipt or successful authorization of the payment.

7. Retention of Title

The delivered goods remain my property until the purchase price has been paid in full.

8. Right of Withdrawal

8.1 Right of Withdrawal for Non-Personalized Items

(1) Consumers entering into distance contracts generally have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days.

(2) The withdrawal period generally begins on the day on which you, or a third party designated by you who is not the carrier, receives the goods.

(3) To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform me of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of a clear statement, for example by email or letter.

(4) Following withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have notified me of your withdrawal. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

(5) Further information regarding the requirements, consequences and exceptions to the right of withdrawal, together with the model withdrawal form, is available in the online store’s separate cancellation policy.

8.2 Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal for Individually Made Items

(1) The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for which your individual choice or decision is decisive for their production, or which are clearly tailored to your personal requirements.

(2) This may apply, in particular, to individually agreed engravings, personalized designs, specially made configurations or individually agreed versions that are not offered as standard options.

(3) The fact that an item is made after the order has been placed, or that you select a standard option regularly offered in the online store, does not automatically exclude the right of withdrawal.

(4) Statutory rights relating to defects remain fully applicable to custom-made and personalized items.

9. Statutory Warranty Rights

(1) Statutory warranty rights apply. The statutory limitation period for claims relating to defects in new goods is generally two years from delivery of the goods.

(2) If an item arrives damaged or has a defect, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be reviewed and an appropriate solution can be found.

(3) Depending on the statutory requirements, subsequent performance may take the form of a repair or replacement. Further statutory rights, including the right to a price reduction, withdrawal from the contract or damages, remain unaffected.

(4) Normal signs of use, ordinary wear and material-related changes, such as the natural development of a patina, do not constitute a defect, provided that the agreed characteristics and functionality of the item are not impaired.

(5) Damage occurring after delivery as a result of improper use, external force, insufficient care or failure to observe care and safety instructions does not give rise to warranty claims unless a defect causing such damage already existed at the time of delivery.

10. Liability

(1) I am liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health.

(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfillment is necessary for the proper performance of the contract and on whose fulfillment you may regularly rely.

(3) The above limitations of liability do not apply in cases involving fraudulent concealment of a defect, an expressly assumed guarantee or claims under the German Product Liability Act.

(4) Where liability is excluded or limited, this also applies for the benefit of my legal representatives and agents.

(5) Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

11. Consumer Dispute Resolution

(1) I am not legally required to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

(2) I am not willing to participate voluntarily in such dispute resolution proceedings.

12. Governing Law

(1) The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

(2) If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that country remain unaffected to the extent that they may not be excluded by a choice of law under the applicable law.

13. Safety and Use Information

(1) The products offered may contain metal links, clasps, snap hooks, chains and other small components.

(2) The products are not toys and are not suitable for children under three years of age. They may present risks of injury, swallowing or strangulation.

(3) Keep the products out of the reach of small children.

(4) Wallet chains and other chains must be worn and used in a manner that prevents them from becoming caught in vehicle components, machinery, moving objects or other potential hazards.
